Just a few thoughts on all I read on the thread:

Someone said that Clinton didn't break any laws while he was in office...Well how bout perjury? How bout mis-use of presidential pardon?...we were also involved in several military engagements during his administration including Bosnia and Haiti and some people on this thread seem to think military action is criminal no matter what the circumstance.

Someone said that Bush received no intelligence info linking Saddam/Iraq with Al-Queda....Are you sure of this? Have you talked with any members of his cabinet? From reports I've heard the CIA has files upon files of connections between these parties and sleeper cells were rampant in Iraq as well as Saddam and Bin Laden having a documented past relationship which they intentionally tried to keep secret.

As for Bush lying about WMD's? How can we be sure of that? Just because none were found does not mean they never existed does it? Some people say they have seen UFO's so are they automatically a liar because we haven't found them? If Bush and our intelligence agencies and military leaders are such liars then why didn't they just lie and say the did find WMD's? If they were into such deception of the American public then they very easily could have planted them. For me personally it wasn't about WMD's anyway and if that had never been mentioned I still would have been in support of operations in Iraq. Why you ask? Simple, Saddam HAD to go...no other way could have been accepted and even Clinton has said he considered that himself...Hillary has even been one of the more visible democratic supporters of the operation. It's not even all about National Defense, for you bleeding heart liberals out there it was more about America's responsibility to uphold and support basic humanity against those Gov'ts and leaders who undermine it. Saddam savagely murdered without cause millions of his own defenseless people over the years and there was no real reason to believe he wouldn't continue to do so. If any free society ignores, accepts or condones such behavior when it holds the power to cease it can be considered nothing but a self serving bunch of hippocrates whose days of freedom are most likely numbered.

On Iraq- ok can we come home now? radio link to LA - some rescues curtailed because of gufire on rescoers?

I can't wait until we can get out of Iraq...nothing would make me happier...i have relatives over there and they want to come home but admit that the job needs to be finished. I mean we didn't just walk off and leave Japan after leveling them either after WWII.

how about listening to Obama's plans and what he will have accomplished by then instead of just not voting for him because he is too young

i dont know all that i would like to about what he believes but from what i have seen i think he would be the best candidate since, well....Bill Clinton

Obama seems to be a bright young man with good leadership skills...not too sure if he is ready for the White House yet but I would listen to what he has got to say. He looks pretty young I know you have to be atleast 35 to run for prez.

by 2012 he will have some major experience under him

I'm hoping George Allen or Colin Powell will run. Of the Democrats though Obama is probably one of the few I could live with and possibly even vote for provided Allen or Powell is not a candidate.

The reason they were not tried was a compromise between both sides in which they guaranteed a full and complete surrender and cooperation with allied forces during rebuilding efforts.
